Adele admits she writes lyrics for inspiration best - when drunk

So here's something interesting... Adele admitted that she writes her music best when - (and wait for this....)

When she's DRUNK.

She claims she wrote some of the lyrics of her latest album "21" - which has topped the charts for weeks on end, while she was drunk. The singer admitted that she kept a "drunk diary" which she would go through for lyrics & inspiration. (Uh okay... I guess this is where the inspiration came for Set fire to the rain...)

Like...lets be honest, how in heavens name could yet set fire to the rain. You could probably set fire to alcohol yeah... Haha. Lets read what Adele said to 'The Sun' (UK):

"I used to have to lock myself away in my house, get pretty drunk and write a drunk diary - and that was the first time I could admit things to myself. A drunk tongue is an honest one in my opinion and the next morning I would read it through with an awful hangover and, in the cold light of day, had to absorb my feelings about myself. I was a bit scared that I wouldn't be articulate enough. When I was 18 or 19 I didn't regret anything, I was very much a teenager and thought I knew it all. I started realising my own flaws and my disappointments and I started regretting a lot of stuff. It was quite an awakening."

Well, its amazing what brilliance you can conjure when you're drunk. With her latest album being a huge success we can only imagine what drunk lyric awesomery is coming in the near future.

Keep up the good work Adele!
