Time Is Ticking Out - The Cranberries

Shalom people, and if you reading this...Happy Holidays!!! (Okay maybe that was a bit premature). Can you believe the year is ending, wow and i must say this has been one of the most awesomest years since the introduction of computers..(bwahaha)

So you might be wondering where has this dude been for the past 2 months, well, i have decided to go into seclusion for a while in an attempt to ace my final year examinations at school. During this time i have been in Misery (Maroon 5), Whipping my Hair (Willow Smith), to even feeling the need to Alors on Danse (Stromae). But i guess We R Who We R (Ke$ha) right?.

Enough with the crap. That was a few of the new releases that has become hits in these two months. So there has also been the release of the long awaited New My Chemical Romance album - Finally! which has some fantastic tracks on it. I will do a post on it soon.

I don't know if you guys tuned in to 5fm last night at 22:00 to catch Jon $avage's awesome Power Nights of Rock installment. He played us some of the best tracks that has been on air this year, and we were not disappointed.

Lastly, before i sign off U2 is in South Africa soon & i speak under correction but Muse will be the supporting act to these guys. The Cape Town show is completely sold out, Johannesburg still has tickets available. As for The Kings of Leon concert which will be in South Africa in March 2011, tickets have like sold out in the first 2hours last saturday. More Golden Circle tickets have been released for sale this week, but they're probably gone already.

This is me signing off...enjoy the weekend!!

Set Sail - Scary Kids, Scaring Kids

Happy Tuesday you awesome rockers. I feel like i've been neglecting my blog - naughty me. Ah such a long eventful week passed with Heritage Day a.k.a Braai-Day, Idols S.A, The Blog Award Ceremony & a few other things.

Friday Past, South African Tweeters adopted the "Braai-Day" concept, and went crazy by naming movies, tracks & series, replacing words with those related to braai. It was too funny - well #braai became a trending topic on twitter in the end!

Saturday was the Blog Awards, although i haven't really followed up after the second stages i'd just like to congratulate those who won.

Then to S.A Idols which took place on Sunday. It was themed, "Tribute to Micheal Jackson" but im sure the dude was spinning in his grave after hearing those performances. Some did it well but most did it awful. Well the results show is tonight on M-Net @ 18:55. Be sure to catch who will be sent home in tonights show. Goodluck all.

Yesterday was a great day. Zebra & Giraffe kinda released their new album named "The Inside" [it wasn't available in stores yet though :P] Greg Carlin mentioned on Facebook that it should be available countrywide Today. Whoo whoo can't wait.

Also, according to NME Magazine - My Chemical Romance has also mentioned & confirmed a release date of their album yesterday. Another album i can't wait to get!

Then, i don't know how much of y'all have heard this band called Scary Kids, Scaring Kids. Well i heard their music for the first time Saturday past and i was pretty impressed. I really like their Heavy/Indie - Rock style. I think they're awesome. Check them out if you haven't yet!!!

Have an Awesome Day

Thank you for the Venom - My Chemical Romance

Happy Monday Rockers, hope you all had a wonderful weekend, well mine as always was extremely busy...welll and then i realised hey, i gotta do this post on MCR ofcourse :p

As you might have heard, this has been their second attempt to complete this album, and in my opinion, this should be a real awesome album and worth the wait.

Although MCR have been extremely mum about what to expect in this new album i have a snippet in which Gerard Way speaks to NME magazine about the album:

"We just finished the album so we're excited about that. It's the second attempt at the album and we're really happy with it. I don't know that people want to make statements right now. I can't comment on anybody else's record but I certainly feel something in the air, like, people just want the truth and they don't need a big story."

Although no release dates have been announced as of yet Gerard stressed the point that the album will be released BEFORE the end of the year. (lets hope this is true)
The band has worked with producer Brendan O'Brien in a follow up to their 2006
album "The black parade"

So if you liked the last album, you will definitely love this one as well...

Latest posts on MCR's myspace page are requests from the public to foward suggestions & ideas on a cover for this new album. Awesome :)
